We are interested to hear from candidates who possess in-depth executry experience.
Working as part of a highly efficient team your duties will be extremely varied covering all aspects of executry matters.
Your key areas of responsibility will include;
- Working as part of a team, handling an autonomous caseload of 30-40 Executries at any one time (without automated case management system)
- Possess experience of dealing with cases in excess of £0.75m (ideally at least half of the case load on average would be in excess of £0.5m)
- Experience of identifying and negotiating with HMRC for BPR (business property relief) and APR (agricultural property relief) reliefs in connection with IHT (inheritance tax)
- Have experience of dealing with cases with both exempt and non exempt beneficiaries for inheritance tax purposes.
- Experience of dealing with Income Tax to date of death and also for period of administration of estate.
- Have gained experience of cross border cases would be advantageous but not essential.
- Comfortable typing your own letters as there is no secretarial support.
- Ideally be STEP qualified or working on the STEP diploma Scotland qualification.
- Posses an Executry paralegal qualification.
